Ashley Medema (b. 1985) is a Canadian fine-art and documentary photographer, writer and visual artist of Dutch and German descent, raised on the unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe Nation in Ottawa, Ontario.

Her work explores the symbiotic relationship between human beings and the natural world, the spaces in-between the material and non-material world, as well as the tension between industrial civilization and the more-than-human world.

She has an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences with a Double Major in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Ottawa (magna cum laude), a Graduate Certificate with experience in Sustainable/Regenerative Agriculture and Food Security, as well as deep interests in anthropology, ecopsychology, spiritual ecology, deep ecology, decolonization, climate justice, environmental issues, Indigenous and Eastern philosophies, and early childhood education.
